New to me: JR, a French street artist whose specialty is putting enormous photos on buildings in poverty-stricken neighborhoods. He uses locals as models, presumably cheering them up and anyone who sees his unmissable pieces in places with little other man-made decoration.
He seems a sort of sensitive, classy Banksy (which isn’t necessarily an improvement, but it works.)
